We are run solely by volunteers and funded with private donations. There are no
paid employees, administrative costs, no salaries. All time, gas, food, expenses,
are donated. 100% of all donations go DIRECTLY to these children.

In addition to providing food, clothing, education, necessities and miscellaneous
assistance to these children and their families, we are committed to helping the
kids’ build self-esteem which in turn teaches them self-worth. The rewards of this
world are endless if they are confident in their capabilities. |
|
We help teach them how they can change their own lives to be more productive adults.
They can “break the chain” and achieve all they want too if they believe in themselves,
get good grades in school and know they are loved. We show them parts of life that
they would not otherwise be able to experience– simple things that you and I may
take for granted such as going to the movies, walking thru a mall, climbing a mountain
or building a snowman in Flagstaff. They see there is another world out there and
they can set goals. The older kids can earn a trip to Disneyland or summer camp
by getting good grades in school. |

We also help the parents learn to fend for themselves. We will “give them fish a
few times” but then “we teach them to fish.” We help the poor help themselves.
Most of the parents of these kids are uneducated so how can they teach their kids
if no one taught them? We emphasize teaching the kids manners which are important
in getting ahead. Most of the parents haven’t taught manners to the kids because
they themselves don’t understand the importance because again, no one taught them.
This whole thing is a vicious chain that needs to be broken. |

Phoenix Children’s Project is a newly formed non-profit organization (January 2004)
that helps impoverished children right here in Phoenix, Arizona. |
|
Though we’ve been doing this work for about 25 years, we finally gave it a name
and made it official. We are tax-exempt 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are
tax-deductable and we will send you a tax-deductible receipt for your donation.
